The Ukrainian military and the Russian-backed separatists in Lugansk both report one ceasefire violation after midnight.
Both sides report civilian casualties.
Russian-backed forces reportedly used heavy artillery in all areas of the front.
The Ukrainian military reports the use of 152 and 122 mm artillery, in addition to heavy mortars.
Two civilians have been reported wounded, one on each side of the front line.
Particularly heavy fighting was seen in the Donetsk area over the weekend.
The self-declared Donetsk People’s Republic claims that one civilian was wounded by Ukrainian shelling last night.
Kiev reports 44 attacks yesterday.
Meanwhile the level of fighting in the east has dropped somewhat, and the leader of the Lugansk separatists has said he is prepared to send negotiators to talk to Nadiya Savchenko.
