Today was a particularly bloody day in the war in Ukraine: 9 soldiers were KIA, 5 WIA, 1 captured, and 8 injured in a training accident. One separatist fighter was killed and 3 civilians were reported wounded in Donetsk.

No Casualties Reported But Fighting Intense Around Mariupol; Ukrainians Mark Anniversary of Holodomor

There were no casualties reported today by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, but fighting remained intense particularly around Mariupol. Ukrainians marked the 82nd anniversary of Stalin’s terror-famine, known as the Holodomor.
