1 Ukrainian Soldier Killed by IED, 1 Wounded; 60 Attacks; Russian Weapons Cache Found

One Ukrainian soldier was killed as a result of an IED and another was wounded in battle today, Liga.net reported, citing the ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation] dispatch. There were 60 attacks on Ukrainian positions by Russia-backed forces.
On the Mariupol line, militants used 122-mm artillery to fire on Lebedinskoye, Shirokino, Gnutovo and Vodyanoe. Militants used 120-mm mortars on Talakovka and Chermalyka and grenade-launchers on Maryinka.
On the Donsk line, shelling remain intense for the second day on Avdeyevka; tanks and 120-mm mortars were used, and several shells fell in the old part of Avdeyevka.
There were attacks with 82-mm mortars on Opytnoye and heavy artillery, mortar-launchers, BMPs and SPGs were used near Luganskoye.
On the Lugansk line, militants used SPGs and anti-tank weapons near Novozvanovka and small arms near Valuyskoye.
The Ukrainian military also reported 2 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 8 in total were wounded, 4 more than original reported.
On a joint mission, the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) and Ukrainian Army found a weapons cache of Russian-manufactured weapons in the grey zone,Liga.net reported. These included a Shmel (portable rocket-launcher), RPG grenade-launchers, 8 long-distance RGDs, 4 F-1s and RG-42s (fragmentation grenades) as well as several dozen other grenades and 200 rounds of ammunition.
“This is yet more evidence of Russian involvement in the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine,” the SBU said in a press release.
