1 Ukrainian Soldier Killed; 31 Attacks on Ukrainian Positions; Brazilian Who Fought With Separatists Sentenced to 13 Years

Russia-backed separatists attacked Ukrainian army positions today 31 times, Liga.net reported. One Ukrainian soldier was killed, the ATO [Anti-Terrorist Organization] wrote on its Facebook page.
On the Mariupol line, militants fired from mortar-launchers on Ukrainian positions in Lebedinskoye, Krasnogorovka, Talakovka, Shirokino and Vodyanoye.
They used grenade-launchers and small arms to fire on positions in Shirokino, Novogrigoryevka and Pavlopol A tank also fired on Shirokinio and a sniper on Novotroitskoye.
On the Lugansk line, militants fired 20 BM-21 Grad missiles at Ukrainian positions in Novozvanovka.
Militants fired from an 82-m mortar-launcher at ATO strongholds in Avdeyevka.
They also fired from grenade-launchers on Novozvanovka and Avdeyekva.
ATO Veterans Block Another Station in Lugansk Region
ATO veterans and deputies are blocking yet another railroad station in Lugansk Region — Svetlanovo, the ATO said on Facebook.
The ATO said they are blocking the train to “prevent the financing of terrorism and trade with the occupiers,” they said on their Facebookpage.

Militants Bar Humanitarian Convoy
A humanitarian convoy of twenty-five cars loaded with medicines and construction materials was stopped at the Novotroitskoye checkpoints, Ukrainska Pravda reported. Only one car was permitted to pass; 23 were sent back. The Ukrainian Border Service said this was the first such case whe militants did not let through humanitarian vehicles.

Kiev Court Sentences Brazilian to 13 Years of Prison
A Brazilian who fought on the side of the separatists was sentenced to 13 years of prison, Svoboda, the Russian-language service of RFE/RL reported. His name was not given but he is believed to be said to be Rafael Lusvargi, arrested in the fall of last year.
