Case Opened in Volgograd on ‘Nazism’ Over Collage of Motherland Statue with Face Painted Green in Navalny Group

Translation: A case is opened under Art. 354-1, par. 3 of the Russian Criminal Code. The Solovyovs and the Kiselyovs [talk show hosts] disseminated this image all over the country, but we have the search and the criminal case.

The charges stem from an ad on the Volgograd Navalny campaign group on VKontakte that invited people to a meeting with the candidate using an image of the famous Motherland statute there painted as Navalny and other opposition figures have been with indelible green disinfectant by attackers.
